At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the museum, designed by architect Jean Nouvel, awaits you on a voyage of discovery of the arts and civilisations of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas, thanks to the 3,500 works on display and a rich programme of temporary exhibitions.

You can also wander through its two-hectare garden, designed by Gilles Clément, a veritable haven of greenery right in the heart of Paris.

Good to know

- Free for under-18s. Free admission for residents of the European Economic Area under the age of 26.
- The museum is open from 10.30am to 7pm. Late-night opening on Thursdays until 10pm (cancel from 07/15 to 09/08). Last admission 1 hour before the museum closes.
- The museum is closed on Mondays and security checks will be carried out at the entrance. Please note that luggage and bulky items (suitcases, including cabin luggage, bulky backpacks, scooters, bicycles, gyropods) are prohibited.
- Admission is free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month.
